Have you been wanting to play with clay, make some custom functional pieces, and relax into a flow state in a calm, supportive environment? Or are you an intermediate potter looking to hone your throwing skills and looking for some personalized instruction? Well then I’ve got just the ticket! I am now offering private lessons tailored to your interest and experience level, with a maximum of two students per class.
You are welcome to bring ideas and inspiration with you, or I can offer direction through guided projects. You will have the opportunity to work on wheel throwing and/or hand building. I also offer lessons on how to use the Strong Arm tool, which is excellent for 1)reducing repetitive motion strain, 2)learning to throw big, and 3)is an adaptive tool which can make wheel work possible for people with arthritis, etc.
We'll work in my cozy studio located in the Piedmont neighborhood of north Portland. Please note my studio is not ADA accessible.
